[opensuse] delta 66 sound card

hey all,
i'm running suse 10.2 on a ppc g4 and recently and am having trouble
with my m-audio sound card. Yast2 will recognize my built in sound card
and sets it up as 0 and sees my m-audio but when i go to set it up it
says it can't load the snd-ice1712 module because of i/o or irq. this
is a problem that seems unique to suse, any suggestions?
what i've done so far is up date my alsa to the latest version and tried
to manually do the whole modprobe thing, but honestly its been a long
time since i had to set up alsa manually, i'm feeling like a newbie.
