If I remember correctly, your setup complained, that it couldn't resolve
the name "localhost". Please verify, that localhost is included in
/etc/hosts and that /etc/nsswitch.conf contains
hosts: files dns
A more robust way to configure Postfix is zu use "127.0.0.1" instead of
"localhost". Then Postfix does not have to rely on hostname resolution for
internal transports.
