Most of the websites I looked at had it either wrong or a pay-for
solution. Then I found a little blurb about using the latest alsa
driver. The latest on their website was only a minor version above the
SuSE supplied one, but I d/l'd it and it worked!! It properly detected
my friend's card with no more trouble. So much for the ton of paper I
took with me saying that it would only work with pay-for solutions, like
OSS.
