I don't think it ever works for me, and I know the install I just preformed did not give me the option. (Possibly because the onboard NIC card appears not to have been supported out of the box.) (I don't have it working yet.)
Maybe I will download alpha5 and try it. If it to fails I'll re-submit a bugzilla like the one that got closed.
