The only thing I ever heard about converters was "be certain sure that
you have a good ( restorable back up ) that was eons ago but it's
probably good advice anyway

Ditto on bitten. I usually have lots of stuff in huge files ,
I*was*using JFS which worked a treat.. since Suse isn't using it any
more I went w/ XFS on this box haven't had any problems w/ the file
system that wasn't PEBKAC , your mileage etc.

And the owner /maintainer being charged w/ his wife's murder didn't
instil a lot of confidence. He is going to be busy for a long time even
if he gets aquitted.
