I'm looking for info on how to have beryl automagickally start when I log into KDE.

Put beryl-manager and beryl in your autostart folder.
Actually, you'll want to put symlinks to these in ~/kde/Autostart, rather than moving or copying the binaries themselves from /usr/bin to your autostart folder - i.e. cd ~/kde/Autostart ln -s /usr/bin/beryl . ln -s /usr/bin/beryl-manager .
