I made an adjustment to /etc/aliases yesterday and then ran postmap to update the aliases.db and reloaded postfix. Got many errors: postmap: warning: /etc/aliases, line 16: record is in "key: value" format; is this an alias file? and now no mail is being routed according to "aliases", ie: mail to "nobody" *is* going to "nobody". I cannot see from the man pages what has changed as I have done this operation many times in the last 10-15 years. What am I doing wrong? tks, NEVERMIND, found my problem, and it was staring me in the face in the /etc/aliases text file. Correct command is "newaliases". tks, -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 OpenSUSE Linux http://en.opensuse.org/ Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
