FYI: You can download the CD/DVD ISOs for free, so price should not be
an issue unless you are paying a lot for tariffed Internet. In that
case, you can likely find someone nearby that could burn you a copy of
their CDs / DVDs.

Then why are you using 9.3? (over 2-years old).
I think 10.2 (from Dec. 06) would be a much better system for a new user.
