- thank you!

- I found ksynapctics version 0.31 as a part of my SuSE10.2
- installed it.
- it gives me a small icon in my taskbar - alas, with everything grayed
out...nothing can be done.
And it gives me a warning when starting it:

"Shared memory is not accessible. Please add the option "UseShm" "true" into
the touch pad section of /etc/X11/xorg.conf"

I did:

Section "InputDevice"
  Driver       "synaptics"
  Identifier   "Mouse[3]"
  Option       "Buttons" "7"
  Option       "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
  Option       "Emulate3Buttons" "on"
  Option       "HorizScrollDelta" "0"
  Option       "InputFashion" "Mouse"
  Option       "Name" "Synaptics;Touchpad"
  OPtion       "UseShm" "On"
  Option       "Protocol" "explorerps/2"
  Option       "SHMConfig" "on"
  Option       "Vendor" "Sysp"
  Option       "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
EndSection

Restarted X, no luck.
Restart box, no luck.

?? :-)
