You will need to install compiz-git and compiz-git-extras, mind you
these packages may be less stable than the packages in X11:XGL
repository, but compiz-extra has been disabled there as it requires
newer compiz.
Current situation of Compiz-extra or Beryl plugins for Compiz is in a
state of flux due to ongoing merge/reunification process, things are
progressing much slower than we anticipated, but once the initial
resistance is overcome, things should be back to normal and we will
get many new features/plugins in days to come.

Hi,
I really want to get the compiz-extra package from the build
repository (http://software.opensuse.org/KDE:/Backports/openSUSE_10.2/)
installed so I can use that stuff. I tried to use the 10.1 repository
on my SLED 10 installation but that wouldn't work because it needed
metacity 2.15 or greater. So I installed a fresh copy of openSUSE
10.2 then enabled XGL and desktop effects.
