I have checked this problem with some users from the openoffice users list first. They could not verify it on XP and on PCLinuxOS. So it looks like an problem with my openSUSE system. I hope some of you can help:
The first URL links to a MSWord file which contains a math formula. After importing it into OO.org Writer 2.2 the display lacks a few fonts, esp. brackets. The second URL links to a jpg containing a screenshot which shows the problem.

This is on openSUSE 10.2 with OO.org built rpms version 2.2. MS core fonts are installed.
Thanks!
Guido Hi, when I am opening your file in OOorg 2.2 (latest version from OOorg on SL 10.2), the formula looks absolutely clean, but does not have any brackets.
Now I open your file in my MS-Office viewer 2003 from MS with wine on Linux. Btw: I use this rarely but reliably to get the "officially microsoft certified view" of an office doucument layout, when in doubt. Surprise, your file looks really weird. The fractions of your sample are surrounded by big, fat awfull looking "X" characters, very similar to your OOorg jpg, but actually much worse. So you might want to -go to your windows machine -open your file with MS-Word -look whether it looks okay -if it does, identify the font of the brackets -if it does not, forget it and: -proceed from there regards Eberhard -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
