[opensuse] Xeon 5110 vs 3050?

If I wanted to install OpenSuse 10.2 on a system based around either of
these chips (so a 3000 or 5000 chipset) are there any Linux/OpenSuse
peculiarities that would make one a "better" choice than the other?
Newbie question I'm sure but we've all been there :-)
