i found the opensuse download site for firefox 2.0.0.2. i got it installed and running. You do not need tpo download software updates manually. There is a functionality which informs about update available online.
Actually, that's not true. That functionality only works if you use the firefox version right from the firefox folks, the ones from openSUSE have that functionality disabled. The intent is to publish new RPMs when new firefoxes become available rather than use the update mechanism built into firefox itself.
The SUSE update notifier informs you about updates of the software and Firefox 2.0.0.2 is an official update (at least for openSUSE 10.2). So he was right. Wolfgang -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
