Yeah, you're right. One or two scattered anecdotes don't constitute much in the way of evidence. As someone else pointed out, if there was a general problem we'd have heard about before now. Some of us are just unlucky, I suppose. The comments on faulty memory were interesting. I'd be surprised if that was the problem for me because my box is only 6 months old; but you never know. Can someone give some details about this memtest or whatever it was? There doesn't seem any harm in giving it a go.
