I bought an IOgear 8-port PS/2 based switch last summer.
I've got various SUSE boxes hooked up (2.4 & 2.6 kernels)
I've got a Win2K & a Win2003 box.
So far zero problems, but I often run the Linux boxes in pure CLI.

I would probably recommend that approach. One of the things I preferred
about the Cybex and the Linksys is that they both responded to a
keyboard sequence to switch, so I didn't have to press a button. Also
some of the new ones have a speaker port so you can share the speakers
or headphones.
Another anomaly I observed (with both the Linksys and Belkin) is that
if the (SuSE LInux) laptop went into sleep mode, it would lose the
mouse. Not sure why. If I recall, this happened on 2 different laptops
and 2 different versions of SuSE Linux.
