Good day, Clayton:
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
|"Cannot connect" isn't enough information :-)
|Are you trying to connect via ethernet, dialup,
|WiFi, bluetooth etc etc. What card/interface?
|Has YAST ID-ed your device properly?
I am using openSuSE 10.2 since it came from a magazine I purchased recently.
I am using an Acer TravelMate 4060, dual boot (Win XP Pro). According to XP
Device Manager my internal wireless card is reported as an Intel
PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection. So I am trying to connect via that
to a SMC Barricade g Wireless Router (SMC WBR14-G2) that is connected to my
ISP supplied DSL-300G ADSL DLink Modem. The Linux Network Manager is seeing
the wireless adapter but I cannot connect to the outside world. What is
complicating this is that recently I had used the Live CD version of Knoppix
and it recognized and used my wireless internet connection. But with
openSuSE, I cannot get it to recognize the connection.
Regards,
Mac
