Typical support for OpenSUSE is two years.

Currently 10.0 is "scheduled" to go out of support on Halloween this year.

However, keep in mind that only includes security patches as Novell doesn't
update applications except for those in openSUSE.

Also, if you find an applicaiton needs a security patch, you're free to roll
your own.
