Try running:

compiz dbus decoration minimize wobbly fade cube rotate zoom scale move resize 
place switcher water screenshot && gtk-window-decorator &

I found opensuse-xgl-settings, a kommander script on www.kde-apps.org very 
useful:

Basic configuration should now be possible with gconf-editor.
