Has anyone been able to use the 7300 GT Nvidia with Xgl?
All NVidia cards beginning with GeForce2 series work fine with Xgl - in principle. I've heard of successful tests on a GeForce Ti2.
OpenGL acceleration may need a GeForce4 or FX5xxx. XVideo acceleration and some compiz effects (rain) need a GeForce 6xxx (may work with some FX5xxx, but that's messy).
We cannot test all cards, that's why only a few (tested) cards are in the card database. For NVidia there is none explicitly excluded. Just not supported.

I'm using a GeForce FX5200 on Opensuse 10.2 with the Downloaded Nvida driver thru YaST and it works fine. 3D also appears to work, Have not installed Googleearth since installing 10.2. -- Russ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
