Mine shows up as a SigmaTel STAC9227

Nothing like that in mine - the only thing I can find is a setting to
enable/disable on-board sound.

I've tried running alsamixer, but just get:
alsamixer: function snd_mixer_load failed: Invalid argument

So something ain't right!
