Hi,
The installation of openSUSE 10.2 fails on my PC (Tyan Tiger 230T
(S2507T) motherboard with v1.09 firmware, 2 x Pentium III, 1 GiB RAM).
If I switch to the text mode installation, the last line listed on the
screen is:
NET: Registered protocol family 2
Then the PC freezes. Safe installation settings, ACPI disabled, and
other options in the boot menu didn't help. Switching BIOS settings
from "optimized" to "safe" also didn't help.
The hardware may not be quite OK (I had problems with the motherboard)
nevertheless SUSE Linux 10.1 runs there.
Any ideas? I'll remove some PCI cards and try again later.
