Was there an answer to this mail (in september)? Because I have exactly the same problem. Original mail: Hi, I'm new to Linux. I just installed suse 10.1 on my old laptop, Armada M700 and found the display problem. It's like the top part of the screen is shown at the bottom. I tried to change the resolution, monitor and frequency around but couldn't get it to work.
