Admitedly I'm new to wireless, but so far, I must say that KNetworkmanager does a MUCH better job with wireless for me than KWiFiManager. It works better with the card, finding sites when KWiFiManger doesn't.
Fred
I tried KNetworkManager and it didn't work well on my ThinkPad.
As far as I can tell, kwifimanager works for my belkin without a hitch. But that is connecting to a known ap with wep encryption, but knetworkmanager does see all of the 8 to 12 APs in my neighborhood, I could connect to several of them if I chose as they report themselves as open and unencrypted. I have mine ecrypted and I still only allow connections from my mac addresses. Sometimes I see peers that I know must be in the range of 350 to 450 feet away, albeit weak but still shows as a viable connection.
