Hi,

I already asked exactly the same questions a few weeks ago. But I never got an 
answer.
It seems to be related to bug #175590. Which is closed as a duplicate of 
#164327. Bugzilla says "You are not authorized to access bug #164327."

As many of our customers need external usb floppy drives, it's very important 
for us, that this bug will be fixed. They are currently using SuSE 10.0 
without any problems.
