Hi, When I first installed 10.1 I was unable to perform a second install through NFS, as I had done with 9.3. I saw a similar problem reported here without response: http://lists.suse.com/archive/suse-linux-e/2006-Oct/1216.html But since I was waiting for the new ISOs, I did not test it further. Now, I tried several times to export my mounted DVD ISOs, but without success. The export seems to go OK, checking with "exportfs -v" or "showmount -e localhost", but most of the time the mounting in the client just times out. I tried several variations of the options, stopped the firewall (even though the ports were open), but the only error message I got in one case on the server was (/var/log/messages): Nov 2 15:52:59 server rpc.mountd: refused mount request from client.x.x.x for /home/SU_1010_001_32 (/): not exported Then I copied the ISO to a 9.3 machine, which was exporting a copy of 9.3 and had just been used on Oct. 26, but after trying to export 10.1 I got the same problem. Now, even deleting the entry about the 10.1 export and going back to exporting only the 9.3 entry does not work anymore, i.e., neither 10.1 nor 9.3 machines can mount the exported directory anymore. I tried "rcnfsserver restart" and it doesn't help. How can I debug this further and what could be the cause for this? I am finding the same behaviour in my small LAN at home and in my larger LAN in the university. Carlos FL
