I've just installed whois. It works as a user, but not as root.
as you said, rpm -qf /usr/sbin/whois gives:
sax2-tools-2.7-27
(both, typed as user and as root)

but what must I do now that it runs the reight whois as root too? Or is it
better not to run it as root anyway?
