Either click on the Full Screen icon between the Minimise and Exit
icons top, right-hand or left-click and hold and drag to bottom
right-hand so that you fill the screen with Firefox.

Then, and assuming that you are using KDE Desktop, left-click on the
very top left-hand icon and select Advanced/Special Window Settings
where you will tick Remember this setting (Full Screen), and exit.

Cheers.

Neat, that works for me anyway :)
Tho I set the "Maximized horizontally" and "Maximized vertically" to
"Apply Initially", because I still wanted my window manager borders
instead of actually Full Screen view.

Perhaps Mozilla should have put a setting in about:config for this one.
Hope You solved the matter for Hans as well.

//Sylvester
this worked great now the only problem now is if I have fire fox open on
an other
desktop and I am on one of the other desktops and click a link it opens
one the desktop where it
first opened ?

Start FF, click on the left topmost icon and select To Desktop and select which desktop FF should go to when opened.

Cheers.
