Due to the recent breakage in 10.1 update metadata, I switched
(indending on only switching temporarily) to using:
[update]
type = apt-rpm
name = Online-Updates
baseurl = http://ftp4.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/apt/SuSE/10.1-i386
components = update
(thank-you Andreas Hanke)
(ref url: http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse/2006-09/msg00327.html)
However, after smart reloads the metadata, I get a number of updates.
Why didn't I see them before?
libzypp-1.3.2-0.6@i586
yast2-ncurses-2.13.40-1.4@i586
yast2-perl-bindings-2.13.5-1.4@i586
yast2-2.13.64.3-0.2@i586
yast2-online-update-2.13.43.2-0.2@noarch
yast2-pkg-bindings-2.13.88.2-0.2@i586
yast2-installation-2.13.132.9-0.2@noarch
yast2-packager-2.13.139.3-0.2@i586
I've been using:
[suse-update]
name = SUSE Linux Online Updates
baseurl = http://suse.mirrors.tds.net/pub/suse/update/10.1/
type = rpm-md
for months now (tds is a fairly close mirror for me).
Is there a way to tell if tds is out of date or if there is a problem
with the rpm-md channels not showing all updates? I don't think tds is
out of date because it's the tds mirror of the update channel which
contained the breakage that started this whole process (whew!).
