Whatever your problem is is not about the K6 unless yours is defective or the motherboard isn't properly supporting it. Maybe all you need is 0.1v more current for it. Could be the motherboard is your problem, or your RAM, or overclocking. *Your* K6 may be a problem, but *the* K6 is not. --
Anything is possible, I guess, but in this case, my old Compaq with the K6-2/450 will absolutely, positively NOT run anything newer than 2.4. It ain't worth screwing with, it is an old, slow piece of crap and if anyone on the list, yourself included, would like to have it to satisfy your curiosity, then send me the shipping cost and I will box it up and send it to you. Then the report can be made back to the list explaining just what the problem is in that 10 year old hulk. Otherwise it is destined to be dumpster food. ==============
