Hi everybody. I've discovered that every once in a while my USB keyboard will fail to function. By this I mean that keypresses will not register until I unplug the keyboard and plug it in again. The other USB devices are not affected This is a system which typically remains on 24x7 - so it becomes apparent onb those occasions when I go into the computer room and try to use the keyboard. I can't determine any sort of causal factor - it seems that the USB driver simply loses track of the keyboard once in a while. I have determined that the fault does not lie in the keyboard itself. It's very inconvenient to have to haul out the case in order to replug the USB cable because it sits in a server cabinet. My question is this: Is there a simple way to restart the USB driver to generate the same effect without doing the replug? -- JAY VOLLMER JVOLLMER@VISI.COM TEXT REFS DOUBLEPLUSUNGOOD SELFTHINK VERGING CRIMETHINK - IGNORE FULLWISE
