Here's a strange thing: When I compile the kernel on a SuSE 9.0 i586 host (running SuSE 9.2 kerrnel 2.6.8), it works. When I do the same on a 10.1 x86_64 host, that is running the 32bit/i586 version of 10.1, I get the error. I wonder if any of the kernel developers has an idea about this? Maybe it's really just the nm tool in 10.1 that can't handle such a long argument line? cu, Frank -- Dipl.-Inform. Frank Steiner Web: http://www.bio.ifi.lmu.de/~steiner/ Lehrstuhl f.
