Shouldn't be a problem. I have a LG and a Philips DL and a LG SL in two of my 
machines, they work better in Linux than in Windows! :-O

The LG DL is a 16x burner, which is what k3b does, Nero under Windows will 
allow a maximum of 4x burning on SL DVD's :-(
