Hi .
I have just had similar problems using XAWTV4 (cant stand kdetv)
I found i had to edit the config file by hand then i stayed and has worked
ever since
Suse 10.0 AMD x86_64 3400 2Gb Ram .75Tb hdd space Haupagge wintv card
