That's why the RFC needs to make a distinction between author and
distributor. Most mailing list subscribers don't give a diddly who the
author is or what he wants. They only want their replies by default to
go back to the place they came from, the distributor, listserv, or
whatever the RFC might choose to name the indispensable most direct
source, as distinguished from author.
