Resending since I do not believe my original mail made it. Hi, I have been looking at doing some LAP work with Apache on SuSE 10.1. After copying some code and Apache config from a working SuSE 10.0 box I discovered that 10.1 comes with Apache 2.2 (nice surprise) and that the modules are missing links to their shared libaries (not so nice). Running ldd against mod_ldap.so/mod_authnz_ldap.so gives:
ldd /usr/lib/apache2-prefork/mod_authnz_ldap.so
linux-gate.so.1 => (0xffffe000) libpthread.so.0 => /lib/libpthread.so.0 (0xb7f2b000) libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0xb7e0b000) /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0x80000000) the same thing run on a SuSE 10.0 machine gives:
ldd /usr/lib/apache2-prefork/mod_auth_ldap.so
linux-gate.so.1 => (0xffffe000) libldap-2.2.so.7 => /usr/lib/libldap-2.2.so.7 (0x40016000) liblber-2.2.so.7 => /usr/lib/liblber-2.2.so.7 (0x40044000) libpthread.so.0 => /lib/tls/libpthread.so.0 (0x40050000) libc.so.6 => /lib/tls/libc.so.6 (0x40062000) libresolv.so.2 => /lib/libresolv.so.2 (0x40181000) libsasl2.so.2 => /usr/lib/libsasl2.so.2 (0x40194000) libssl.so.0.9.7 => /usr/lib/libssl.so.0.9.7 (0x401ab000) libcrypto.so.0.9.7 => /usr/lib/libcrypto.so.0.9.7 (0x401db000) /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0x80000000) libdl.so.2 => /lib/libdl.so.2 (0x402d5000) As far as I can tell I have all the packages I need to support LAP with Apache - even rebuilding Apache 2.20 from the arc RPM fails to solve the problem. Looking at all the mod files in /usr/lib/apache2 / /usr/lib/apache2-prefork only mod_ssl.so seems to be linked against the correct libraries. Has any one come across this problem? thanks grant - Grant Croker, grantc@php.net ||| Software Engineer, Ingres Corp d-_-b http://ingres.com -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com
