I have been looking at doing some LAP work with Apache on SuSE 10.1.
It is probably irrelevant to the question, but what is LAP?
A typing error - should have been LDAP.
After copying some code and Apache config from a working SuSE 10.0 box I discovered that 10.1 comes with Apache 2.2 (nice surprise) and that the modules are missing links to their shared libaries (not so nice).
Are you saying the apache 2.2 on suse 10.1 does plainly not work? If so, just file a bugreport.
That appears to be the case. However I want to make sure I have done everything first.
Could those differences be to do with some major change(s) in apache 2.0-> 2.2?
I would have to build Apache 2.2 by hand since this is the first time I have looked at it.
As far as I can tell I have all the packages I need to support LAP with Apache - even rebuilding Apache 2.20 from the arc RPM fails to solve the problem. Looking at all the mod files in /usr/lib/apache2 / /usr/lib/apache2-prefork only mod_ssl.so seems to be linked against the correct libraries.
I've got a running install of apache 2.2 on suse 10.l; the following modules are loaded with no probs (from a server-info page):
Loaded Modules: mod_info.c, mod_php5.c, mod_userdir.c, mod_suexec.c, mod_ssl.c, mod_setenvif.c, mod_negotiation.c, mod_mime.c, mod_log_config.c, mod_include.c, mod_expires.c, mod_env.c, mod_dir.c, mod_cgi.c, mod_autoindex.c, mod_authn_dbm.c, mod_authz_user.c, mod_authz_default.c, mod_authz_groupfile.c, mod_authz_host.c, mod_authn_file.c, mod_auth_basic.c, mod_alias.c, mod_actions.c, mod_so.c, http_core.c, prefork.c, core.c
Ditto - I have it listed but cannot seem to get it to work thanks grant -- Grant Croker, grantc@php.net ||| Software Engineer, Ingres Corp d-_-b http://ingres.com
