By default, userdir is already loaded from /etc/sysconfig/apache2. The only missing piece is including mod_userdir.conf.
And this can be done in yast. Much better, but it is *poorly* explained in the available documentation. This is such a common need that it should be provided as an example on the yast screen.
But, it doesn't seem to work for me :^(
APACHE_CONF_INCLUDE_FILES="/etc/apache2/mod_userdir.conf" APACHE_MODULES="authz_host actions alias auth_basic authz_groupfile authn_file authz_user autoindex cgi dir include log_config mime negotiation setenvif status userdir asis imagemap php5 perl python authz_default"
??? !!!
This works for me: APACHE_CONF_INCLUDE_FILES="extra/httpd-userdir.conf" APACHE_MODULES="authz_host actions alias auth_basic authz_groupfile authn_file authz_user autoindex cgi dir include log_config mime negotiation setenvif status userdir asis imagemap php5 authz_default" This way I can get a directory listing from the userdirs with http://localhost/~user_name/, but not with http://localhost/ (I don't care too much about that ;] ).
