Hi,
This is 2 days I have installed Suse 10.2 Alpha 2...and because of some error the KDM login screen is coming back again and again as i try to login as ordinary user `digz'.First the autologin failed and then on manually entering username/password..the login screen comes back repeatedly. The user root is able to login and KDE starts. My installation was standard with KDE.This is /etc/sysconfig/displaymanager.

Any idea how to sort this out ??
After a failed login, switch to a text login (ctrl-alt-F1), log in, and have a look at the file .xsession-errors in the home directory of the user. I'll lay good odds it will have some sort of crash in there By the way, if you're using an alpha, you are by definition a beta tester, so you really should put these bug reports in bugzilla.novell.com -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com
