Hi,
in spite of the problems on the yast at suse10.1 I'm being able to work with
it (spending a lot of time, now and then). Nevertheless, after update the KDE
packages with the new build service
KDE:KDE3
KDE:Backports
yast didn't loose neither improve performance (it was not expected too,
obviously) but the little box at the left of packages names with a thick if
the package was installed or selected to install, a lock for protected
packages, etc., has disappeared!!! I still can see the install package status
by moving the mouse pointer to the box previous location and get tooltips
(Protect -- do not modify, Do not Install, Keep, etc).
This behavior makes yast a little/lot more unfriendly for packages management,
but obviously yast is much more than that and I do not considered stop using
it !
I'm posting this mail to ask if someone has experienced the same or if it
could be some specific thing of my system (it happens in two computers)
best regards,
