Hello SUSE users:
I am trying out SUSE 10.1.
It's release notes says:
"If you do not register, the underlying system will continue to work. However, the registration service cannot provide the online update configuration unless registration is performed to pass mandatory information, including product, operating system type and version, and CPU type."
Please confirm that without supplying the mandatory information I won't be able to use online update.
Also please tell me how I can keep my 10.1 system up to date w/o registering.

directory in the change source menu without any registering
