[SLE] libdvdcss with 10.1

I think I kept libdvdcss that I tracked down and installed last November for
SUSE 10.0.
Is that version still good with newer releases of SuSE, xine, etc?
What about codecs in general? Do they have a pretty long shelf-life? Or do
they need to be recompiled for new versions of whatever system they'll be
used in?
