This depends on two things - the CD/DVD playeri itself and how the CD/DVD was burned. Some CD/DVD players support formats such as the Photo CD. If the CD/DVD is burned in accordance with this standard and the CD/DVD player supports it ... then yes it will support it. I have a Sampo 631CF - it will display JPEGs in a slide show as well (has a Compact Flash on it to boot!). Other cheaper Taiwan models ($20-30 Sears/Radio Shack modesl) ... they are cheap in every way and tend to overall not work let alone display pictures - at least the ones I have and tried to use ... YMMV. But if you simply burn a series of JPEG pictures and expect it to work - you're in for a rude awakening. So - more info is needed on the player before really accurate answers can be provided. Can anyone recommend what software will burn photos to a CD that can be viewed on a TV player?
I have done this by simply putting the desired image files on a CD/DVD with k3b. My DVD player read the disc and automatically played it as a slide show. No special software needed, though others may know of some to do more sophisticated things.
