[SLE] Troubles with SuSE 10.1 XEN

On my screen the Panel bar becomes gray, the mouse stops to work and the
keyboard follows than soon to stop working as well.
ONLY the power button works than still ;-(
SuSE 10.1 (not XEN) has no problems.
My hardware:
Asus Pentium D 3GHz
2 x 1 GB RAM
250 G harddisk
ASUS DVD ROM
ASUS DVD RW
Card reader
Floppy (gosh, who needs that still?, but it is a 3.5" and not a 8" type - hehehehehe)
1 Ethernet is on board, a second Ethernet is plugged in
I have already installed twice the entire system (only the default plus XEN) and updated online.
Has anybody an idea what I can do?
