Can you connect to anything at all? With a web browser, for instance
How about
ping www.suse.de
from a command line? Perhaps you're having name server problems

Since you don't need it, why not? Add the line
install ipv6 /bin/true
to /etc/modprobe.conf.local and reboot the machine
