Hi, I have an ATI 9600XT on SuSE 10.1 on 64-bit. I managed to get the
ATI driver installed (albeit with some difficulty) and now direct
rendering is working. Everything is fine, except that in /var/log/messages:

Jun 17 10:37:27 jeremy atieventsd[3877]: ATI External Events Daemon
started...
Jun 17 10:37:27 jeremy atieventsd[3877]: Unable to bind control socket
to /var/run/atieventsd.socket: Address already in use
Jun 17 10:37:27 jeremy atieventsd[3877]: acpid connection established
Jun 17 10:37:28 jeremy atieventsd[3877]: Unable to bind control socket
to /var/run/atieventsd.socket: Address already in use
Jun 17 10:37:29 jeremy atieventsd[3877]: Unable to bind control socket
to /var/run/atieventsd.socket: Address already in use
Jun 17 10:37:30 jeremy atieventsd[3877]: Unable to bind control socket
to /var/run/atieventsd.socket: Address already in use

Each second, every second. Does anybody have any idea what this means?
