Put your Suse 10.1 disk into your cd or dvd drive. Start the installation
procedure and when you hit the
New Install
Update
screen there will be a selection in the bottom right hand corner for
Other Options
It will offer you the chance to
1) boot the installed system or
2) repair installed system
Choose the second one and then select
Automatic Repair.
Usually this will solve the problem if it is an issue with GRUB or a package
conflict. Even if the repair package option does not make it to the final
screen it will often fix the key issues before finishing.
Good luck
