I just came home from an exhibition. We got many name cards and I
thought it would be nice, if we would share all the name cards in our
office. To do that I think LDAP would be useful. However, before I start
to such how to do, let me ask if somebody has done it and what
suggestion I could get from you.
How to set-up so that Thunderbird users and Outlook users can benefit
from it?

How can users add entries?

They can't. Not from TB or Outlook, Evolution is the only mail client /
address book I'm aware of where the LDAP source is writable.

How can we avoid double entries?

Objects with identical RDNs are not possible in a container.

LDAP is a wonderful technology, but it is really a poor substitute for a
real groupware server.
