Hello, list,

In the OpenSuSE project website, this is a Installation Repository and a
Addon Installation Repository links in the download page.
http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/SL-10.1/inst-source/
http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/SL-10.1/non-oss-inst-source/
I have downloaded the follow CDs and DVD in the download page.
SUSE-Linux-10.1-GM-i386-CD1.iso
SUSE-Linux-10.1-GM-i386-CD2.iso
SUSE-Linux-10.1-GM-i386-CD3.iso
SUSE-Linux-10.1-GM-i386-CD4.iso
SUSE-Linux-10.1-GM-i386-CD5.iso
SUSE-Linux-10.1-GM-Addon-Biarch.iso
SUSE-Linux-10.1-GM-DVD-i386.iso
I found that the number of packages are equality in CDs and DVD.
The number of packages in CDs is 2766 while the other is 2748.

And i have check the installation repository
The single directory
http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/SL-10.1/inst-source/suse/i586/
contains 5887 packages. Some of them are debuginfo packages, but if we don't
count the debuginfo packages, the rest of this single directory is 3877.

The result is generated without the addon packages.

I wonder what's the different between install CDs/DVD and online
installation repository. What's the packages in the online installation
repository but don't in the CDs/DVD.

Thanks very much.
