Hi Wang Penghui,

My understanding is that the sourcecode for the distribution... in the form of
source rpm packages... are provided now only through the online installation
repositories or on a separate download DVD .iso; the rationale being that
most people don't build and install running systems from source, so forcing
everybody to pay for the extra (retail) DVD or to download all of the source
packages is wasteful. Most people only download specific source packages, or
sets of source packages, on an "as needed" basis to meet unique
circumstances. Another difference is the boxed retail version includes
licensed (proprietary) software that isn't available for download.

hth & regards,

Carl
