Possibly, you are able to do queue management from the commandline,
from the kde-printcontroller and from a browser (localhost:631).  AND
you *can* make your lppasswd id and password the same as root or
anything else you wish provided you do not put specific restraints on
it.  I use root and a different password (personal preference) on 10.1.
